LAHORE: On the directions of Ombudsman Punjab, outstanding dues amounting to Rs 91.6 million were disbursed to 69 citizens across the province within a span of three months.
According to official details, the affected individuals had approached the Ombudsman after facing prolonged delays and denial of payments by various government departments. Taking prompt notice of the complaints, the Ombudsman directed the relevant authorities to ensure immediate redressal.
Following these interventions, arrears pending with different departments for a considerable period were successfully released to the complainants.
The beneficiaries appreciated the timely action and resolution of their grievances, thanking the Ombudsman for facilitating recovery of their dues and providing relief.
Officials said the recovery of pending payments underscores the Ombudsman Office’s role in ensuring administrative accountability and improving public service delivery in the province.
