ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has issued a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) announcing temporary restrictions on flight operations related to Islamabad and Lahore airspace.

According to the NOTAM, six sectors within the Lahore Flight Information Region (FIR) will be temporarily closed on March 16.

The notice states that commercial flight landings and takeoffs at Islamabad International Airport will be suspended between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM on the same day.

During this period, aircraft already in the air intending to land in Islamabad may be required to hold in the air until operations resume.

The NOTAM further directs aircraft captains to carry additional fuel to accommodate potential holding time before landing.

No further details were provided regarding the reason for the temporary airspace closure.
