LAHORE: The Pak International Business Forum (PIBF) has announced that it will soon launch a major training initiative titled “GenZ Entrepreneur Drive” aimed at equipping young people with modern business skills and entrepreneurial knowledge.
According to PIBF office-bearers, the programme will serve as a significant platform for Pakistani youth by providing professional business training and guidance. They added that the initiative will also include financial support for promising young entrepreneurs in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation, enabling them to start and expand their businesses. The announcement surfaced at a recently held event of the Forum. People from business circles and other walks of life largely attended the event. Senior business leader Dr Mushtaq Mangat, who belongs to the textile sector, has been elected as the Central President, while former Executive Committee Member LCCI and President of the FMCG sector Muhammad Ejaz Tanveer has been elected as Central General Secretary of the forum. Renowned business leader and former Vice Chairman of PEPGAI Abdul Wadood Alvi has been elected as President PIBF Lahore.
A formal oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers was also held on the occasion where they took oath of their respective offices.
Speaking at the ceremony, PIBF leaders announced that the forum would actively participate in upcoming elections across chambers of commerce throughout Pakistan under the banner of the Business Forum.
They further stated that PIBF will work collectively with stakeholders from the trade, industry and service sectors, striving to address their issues and advocating for timely solutions to support business growth and economic development in the country.
A large number of women entrepreneurs also participated in the event on this occasion. PIBF leadership said that they would contest elections in the women chambers also and launch efforts to empower women in real terms.
