Islamabad declares March 13 holiday for educational institutions

The district administration of Islamabad has declared Friday, March 13, 2026, as a public holiday for all educational institutions in the federal capital.

According to a notification issued by the Office of the District Magistrate, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), the holiday will be observed by all public and private educational institutions, including schools, colleges and universities, located within the revenue limits of the capital.

The notification was issued on Thursday and signed by District Magistrate Irfan Nawaz Memon.

The decision will apply to all academic institutions operating in Islamabad, the notification said.
