LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday sought replies from the government and other respondents by March 10 in a petition filed against price hike during the month of Ramazan.
The petitioner Muhammad Munir contended that the government has failed to control the prices of the edibles during the month of Ramazan.
He said increase in prices daily usages is against the fundamental right of the citizens.
He, therefore, asked the court to direct the government to take necessary measures to control the prices of edible during the month of Ramazan.
The court after hearing the petitioner’s counsel at length sought replies from the respondents by next hearing.
