KARACHI: AKD Group, in collaboration with Shine Humanity, has inaugurated its fourth Mobile Urgent Care (MUC) unit to provide basic healthcare services to disaster-affected and underprivileged communities in rural Sindh.

The inauguration ceremony of the modern 20-foot clinic-on-wheels was held at the residence of Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, Chairman of AKD Group.

Designed to reach hard-to-access areas and deliver immediate medical assistance, the organisers said the mobile clinics reflect a practical commitment to serving communities that are often deprived of basic facilities.

The units are staffed with certified doctors and trained medical personnel and are equipped with essential medicines and diagnostic tools, enabling them to provide prompt and effective healthcare services directly at communities’ doorsteps.

The newly launched unit will operate across the districts of Badin, Sujawal, and Tharparkar, where healthcare facilities are extremely limited or nonexistent.

On the occasion, Faheem Khan, CEO of Shine Humanity, said the new Mobile Urgent Care Unit extends healthcare services beyond cities and paved roads, directly reaching the communities that need them most.

Chairman AKD Group Aqeel Karim Dhedhi expressed hope and offered prayers for the initiative’s continued success and growth.

Over the past year, Shine Humanity’s existing Mobile Urgent Care Units have provided basic medical services to more than 23,000 individuals in rural Sindh, including in Gharo, Sujawal, Thatta, Mirpur Sakro, and Makli.
