KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 113,223 tonnes of cargo comprising 67,220 tonnes of import cargo and 46,003 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 67,220 tonnes comprised of 45,344 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 5,159 tonnes of Canola, 7,760 tonnes of Rock Phosphate, 4,621 tonnes of Soya Bean Seeds & 4,336 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 46,003 tonnes comprised of 25,353 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 650 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 4,105 tonnes of Cement, 4,030 tonnes of Clinkers,296 tonnes of Rice & 11,569 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 04 ships namely, Ruico Sapphire, Gerhild, Msc Emanuela & Lisbon Express berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 02 ships namely, Msc Busan & Chemroad Echo sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of fifteen ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, GFS Genesis, BTG Elbert and Navigator Celtic left the port on Thursday morning, while seven more ships, Westerly, Lebrethan, Hansa Europe, Horizon-1, Maritime Comity, Da Yu Xia and MSC Mira-V are expected to sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 261,277 tonnes, comprising 197,691 tonnes imports cargo and 63,586 export cargo carried in 7,038 Containers (3,619 TEUs Imports & 3,419 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 16 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, MSC Mira-V, Seychelles Pioneer, Nikolas-D and DM Jade with Container, Palm oil, Soya Bean Seed and Chemicals expected to take berth at QICT, LCT, FAP and EVTL on Thursday 26th February, 2026.
