ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has set the new date of March 5, 2026 for auction of 527 kanal of land owned by a leading housing scheme in tehsil Murree for recovery of PKR 26 billion unpaid tax liabilities.

According to details released by the FBR, the public auction date has been rescheduled from February 16 to March 5, 2026 at the Large Taxpayer Office Islamabad.

In accordance with provisions of the income tax ordinance 2001 and income tax rules 2002, the immovable property, 527k -10M of land at Mauza Kathar sharqi, Angori road, tehsil Murree District Rawalpindi, of the tax defaulter will be sold by public auction.

The real estate property was initially set to be auctioned on February 16, 2026. However, the FBR postponed the auction on the same day.

The department has now issued a fresh date as part of its ongoing recovery proceedings against the tax defaulters.
