KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 75,343 tonnes of cargo comprising 23,201 tonnes of import cargo and 52,142 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 23,201 tonnes comprised of 9,078 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 4,515 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 1,611 tonnes of Canola, 4,199 tonnes of Soya Bean Seeds & 3,798 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 52,142 tonnes comprised of 17,058 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,687 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 6,736 tonnes of Cement, 22,361 tonnes of Clinkers & 4,300 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 04 ships namely, Stolt Acer, Cmb Teniers, Spectrum N & MT Shalamar berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 08 Xiang Yu, Arion, Prabhu Nand, Sc Mercury, Nara, Yan Dang Shan, Northern Practise & Charlotte Schulte sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three vessels CMA CGM Maupassant, Poineer Gas and Galaxy Gas left the port on Thursday morning, while another containers ship Hansa Europe is expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 162,050 tonnes comprising 99,069 tonnes imports cargo and 62,981 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 6,109 containers (TEUs) imports, were handled at the Port.
There are 11 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them two ships, AS Alva and Hoot &another ship Charlotte Schulte carrying Containers and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT and EVTL respectively on Thursday, 19thFebuary-2026, while two more vessels MSC Madeleine and MSC Tracy Vare expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday 20thFebruary-2026.
