Thar Foundation receives CSR awards

KARACHI: Thar Foundation under its education and vocational training programmes is operating 33 school units educating over 5,000 students, with 45 percent female enrolment.

In addition, the Foundation has established five medical facilities and three mobile health units, delivering free services to over 450,000 patients and installed 33 RO plants supplying nearly 3 million gallons of clean drinking water monthly.

As recognition of these efforts, Thar Foundation has received three CSR awards at the 18th Annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Summit 2026 in the categories of ESG & Sustainability Leadership, Public Health & Safety Programmes, and Biodiversity & Conservation.

These awards recognised Thar Foundation, the CSR arm of Thar Block II entities, for its impactful contributions to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its continued efforts in sustainable development and community transformation aimed at improving the quality of life for local communities.

Farhan Ansari, General Manager, Thar Foundation, said that Foundation have been driven by the purpose of enhancing communities through long-term, impactful initiatives in quality education, healthcare access, livelihoods, environmental stewardship and more. “For over a decade, it has been inspiring to witness the positive transformation taking place in the region. We remain committed to serving the people and continuing our journey of Thar Badal Raha Hai Pakistan”, he added.
