Awaam Pakistan Party (APP) leader Zaeem Qadri passed away after suffering from a heart disease on Friday, Aaj News reported.

Senior leader of the APP, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, breathed his last at a private hospital at around 4:00 am.

According to family sources, he was suffering from a heart ailment and had been admitted to a private hospital in Lahore three days ago; however, he could not survive.

The family stated that the funeral prayers for the deceased will be offered after Maghrib prayers on Lawrence Road, Lahore.

Qadri was considered among the active political leaders of Punjab. He was currently serving as the Punjab spokesperson for the APP, whereas he had previously served as a Member of the Punjab Assembly and a government spokesperson on a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz ticket.

Deep grief and sorrow are being expressed by political and social circles over his demise, while various leaders have paid tribute to the political services of the deceased.

Expressing sorrow over the death of senior politician, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and paid tribute to Qadri’s political and social services, calling them “noteworthy and commendable.”

He prayed that may Allah Almighty grant the departed soul a place in His infinite mercy and provide patience to the grieving family.
