KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 223,832 tonnes of cargo comprising 138,110 tonnes of import cargo and 85,722 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 138,110 tonnes comprised of 76,957 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 25,797 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo,2,979 tonnes of Lentils & 32,377 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 85,722 tonnes comprised of 39,870 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 432 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 30,079 tonnes of Clinkers, 691 tonnes ofRice & 14,650 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around 09 ships namely, Mpp Ikons, Maria Leader, Arion, Cosco New York, Bbc Iceland, Seaspan Bellwether, Ym Celebrity, Forever Win, Ever Lucid & Kurt Mas berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 07 ships namely, MT Karachi, Konrad, X-Press Carina, Marianna C, Diligent Star, Wisteria, Huayang Lily, X-Press Anglesey sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of thirteen ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them five ships, X-Press Anglesey, APL Le Havre, Torm Innovation, M Brigit and Liana left the port on Thursday morning, while three more ships, ELM Galaxy, Ren Jian-26 and Kiran Caribbean are expected sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 213,020 tonnes, comprising 166,406 tonnes imports cargo and 46,614 export cargo carried in 6,286 Containers (3,544 TEUs Imports & 2,742 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 19 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them six ships, Asphalt Alliance, Pan Bonita, Sereno, Ullswater, Al-Sene and Sea Spirit & another ship ‘MSC Aquarius-VII’ carrying Bitumen, Steel Coil, Mogas, LPG, LNG and Container expected to take berths at MW-2, MW-1, FOTCO, EVTL, PGPCL and QICT on Thursday12th February, 2026.
