KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 427,755 tonnes of cargo comprising 299,414 tonnes of import cargo and 128,341 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 299,414 tonnes comprised of 91,149 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 60,620 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 161 tonnes of Dap, 3,334 tonnes of Lentils & 144,150 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 128,341 tonnes comprised of 93,466 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 375 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo & 34,500 tonnes of Clinkers.
Around, 08 ships namely, Albert P, Kmtc Nhava, Sheva, Oocl Nagoya, Cosco New York, X-Press Carina, Celsius Emmen & Siligent Star berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 07 ships namely Lila Mumbai, Wan Hai 515, Chang Lin, Albert P, Hanyu Camellia & Xin Hang Zhou sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, Al-Deebel, Richland Singapore and Katherine Kosan are expected to sail on Monday.
Cargo volume of 91,795 tonnes, comprising 85,947 tonnes imports cargo and 5,848 export cargo was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 18 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Astro Nembus, Galaxy Gas and Ming Qing Xing & three more ships, Al-Berth-P, MSC Unific-VI and Lilas Calm carrying Soya Bean Seed, LPG, Container and Coal expected to take berth at FAP, EVTL, QICT and PIBT on Monday 9th February, 2026.
