LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has held that the people who manufacture, transport, or deal in the business of fake, artificial and substandard milk are guilty of a crime against the public at large.
The court remarked that such people hardly entitle to any leniency and dismissed the bail of one Muhammad Younas involved in a case of business of substandard milk, the other day.
The court noted that the main components of synthetic milk which also called sweet poison are water, pulverized detergent or soap, sodium hydroxide, vegetable oil, salt and urea.
The court observed, although it does not kill at once but it slowly makes the body a fertile ground or farm house for diseases. Use of synthetic milk inflicts very serious harms on human body, the court added.
The court also observed that apart from this, synthetic milk is deadly for pregnant women and patients suffering from conditions of heart ailment and high blood pressure. What is worse is that synthetic milk is extremely poisonous for small children also, the court added.
