ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir on Tuesday underscored that no terrorist or facilitator would be spared, as he visited Quetta to review the security situation following recent attacks in Balochistan and assessed the ongoing counter-terrorism operations.

According to ISPR, the Field Marshal received a comprehensive operational briefing on the prevailing security environment and internal security operations, including details of recent terrorist attacks orchestrated by Indian-backed, internationally designated militants of “Fitna al Hindustan.”

The briefing highlighted the swift and aggressive response by security forces, which, officials said, foiled attempts to undermine peace, stability, and development in the province.

Measures to further strengthen the writ of the state and ensure the protection of the populace and critical infrastructure were also reviewed. The COAS remarked that violence and terrorism could not be rationalised under any pretext and vowed strict action against all perpetrators and their enablers in accordance with the law.

Field Marshal Munir praised the professionalism, valour and sacrifices of officers and personnel of the Army, FC Balochistan and police for thwarting what he termed “nefarious anti-Pakistan designs” and maintaining law and order.
