Indonesia’s inflation at 3.55% in January, below forecast

JAKARTA: Indonesia’s annual inflation rate in January reached 3.55%, below a median analyst forecast of 3.78% and slightly above the central bank’s target range of 1.5% to 3.5%, official data showed on Monday.

The January rate accelerated from 2.92% in December.

Statistics Indonesia was due to release core inflation data later on Monday.
