KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Monem Zafar on Saturday visited the homes of families of those martyred and missing in the Gul Plaza tragedy and offered condolences.
Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives, he assured the bereaved families that JI stands firmly with them and that every possible effort and support would be extended to address their problems, including the recovery of the remains of missing persons.
Zafar announced that Alkhidmat has decided to bear the educational expenses of the children of the affected families. He said that the bad governance has caused immense suffering to the people and deprived them of their basic right to live. He said that a grand “Let Karachi Live March” will be held on Shahrah-e-Faisal on Sunday, February 1.
During his visits, Monem Zafar met the families of Gul Plaza tragedy martyrs including 21-year-old Usman s/o Akbar, 24-year-old Naimatullah, and 17-year-old Abdullah, where he expressed profound grief and prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased.
He also visited the homes of Garden residents, Sarfaraz Qadri and the missing Shaiz s/o Haroon, offering condolences and assuring that he would raise his voice on every platform for the recovery of Shaiz’s remains.
