ISLAMABAD: Criminals looted cash and valuables and stole motorbikes and cars worth millions of rupees in more than 46 incidents of robbery, dacoity, snatching, and carjacking reported to the capital police during the last week.

According to data compiled by Business Recorder, police registered 27 cases of motorbike theft, one case of car theft, six robberies, and 10 incidents of street crime, including the snatching of cash and mobile phones, at various police stations across the city during the period under review.

During the week, criminal gangs were most active within the jurisdictions of Karachi Company, Shalimar, Industrial Area, Shehzad Town, and Ramana police stations.

Within Karachi Company police limits, auto thieves stole three motorbikes, while one robbery was reported. Similarly, three motorbikes were stolen and one street crime incident was reported to Shalimar police. In the Industrial Area, auto thieves stole three motorbikes, while robbers looted one house.

Criminals stole three motorbikes and committed one robbery in Shehzad Town limits. Meanwhile, two cases of street crime and one robbery were registered at Kohsar police station.

During the same period, three cases of auto theft were reported to Ramana police station, while two cases of auto theft and one robbery were registered at Sumbal police station.

In addition, Tarnol police station registered one case each of street crime, auto theft, and robbery, while two cases of auto theft were reported to Secretariat police station. ­Similarly, Noon police station registered one case each of street crime and auto theft. In Koral police limits auto thieves stole one motorbike, while armed robbers struck at one location. In Kirpa police jurisdiction, one person was murdered, and one motorbike was stolen during the same period.
