KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 395,746 tonnes of cargo comprising 269,703 tonnes of import cargo and 136,043 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours, ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 259,703 tonnes comprised of 86,608 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 44,368 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 17,612 tonnes of Canola & 111,115 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 136,043 tonnes comprised of 127,056 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 176 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 6,142 tonnes of Cement & 2,669 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 03 ships namely, Xin pu dong, Albert P & Magic Celeste berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 06 ships namely, Zhong Gu Xi An, Zhuo Yue Yuan Yang, Tss Amber, No. 6 Ocean Pioneer, Daria & Albert P sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a chemicals carrier ‘DM Jade’ left the port on Monday morning, while another edible oil carrier ‘Beince’ expected to sail on Monday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 75,671 tonnes, comprising 63,663 tonnes imports cargo and12,008 export cargo was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 21 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, PVT Jupitor, Aqua Spirit and EFE Basphorus & two more ships, Al-Bert-P and MSC Michaela carrying Palm oil, LPG, Coal and Container expected to take berths at LCT, EVTL, PIBT and QICT on Monday 19th January, 2026.
