ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday recorded statements of two prosecution witnesses in November 26 case involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers registered at the Secretariat police station.

ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra while hearing the case, recorded the testimonies of two more prosecution witnesses. The court has so far recorded the statements of 21 witnesses in the same case. The court summoned more witnesses on the next hearing to be held on January 19.

Meanwhile, the same court recorded statements of five witnesses in a terrorism case registered against suspected terrorists linked to the Fitna al-Khawarij a term the state uses for terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra while hearing the case against suspect Bashir Ahmed recorded statements of five witnesses in a case registered at Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station.

Prosecutor Raja Naveed appeared before the court. Police has arrested the suspect from Bani Gala and allegedly recovered explosive and detonators from his possession.
