ISLAMABAD: In a gesture reflecting both political warmth and personal camaraderie, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday visited the residence of veteran PML-N leader Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, who is recovering from a recent health setback.
During the visit, Sharif extended his well-wishes and offered heartfelt prayers for Haq’s swift recovery, reinforcing the deep-rooted political and personal ties between the two leaders.
Known for his rapport with the party’s older generation, the prime minister’s visit went beyond a mere ceremonial gesture, reaffirming the longstanding bond between two stalwarts of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Sharif’s remarks, filled with admiration, acknowledged Haq’s pivotal role in shaping the political narrative of the party.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office quoted Sharif as emphasizing Haq’s “invaluable contributions” to both the party and the nation, praising his leadership and influence in Pakistan’s political evolution.
“His services to the party and to the nation will always be remembered,” Sharif remarked, underscoring the senior leader’s unshakable commitment to PML-N and its political discourse.
Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Azam Nazeer Tarar, accompanied the prime minister during the visit.
