KARACHI: Gold and silver prices rebounded sharply on Friday, tracking a surge in the global market, traders said.
An increase of Rs5,700 drove up local gold prices to Rs460,262 per tola, according to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, price of gold per 10 grams grew by Rs4,887 to settle at Rs394,600 per 10 grams.
World market regained a significant ground, surging by USD 57 to reach USD 4,379 per ounce while silver was trading at USD 74 per ounce, up by USD 2.27, the association added.
Following the fresh rise, domestic silver prices also moved up, adding Rs227 a total of Rs7,862 per tola and Rs195 to sell at Rs6,740 per 10 grams, it said.
It is advisable to double-check gold and silver prices, as open market rates may differ from those officially set by the association.
