PESHAWAR: District Nowshera Police have made breakthrough in Tarro Jabba bank dacoity case and arrested a mastermind of the inter-provincial dacoit gang.
Talking to media, SP Investigation Nowshera Police, Resham Jehangir has said that the mastermind was an employee of the Education Department has also confessed to various bank dacoities. Police have also recovered a cash amount of Rs7.380 million from the possession of the mastermind of the crime.
The SP Investigation said that a heinous crime of dacoity was committed in bank branch at Tarro Jabba in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pabbi and FIR of which registered against unknown accused. Police have collected samples evidences from the venue.
An investigation team was constituted for investigation into the incident. The team was headed by SP Investigation, Resham Jehangir. Other members of the team were SDPO Pabbi Circle Adnan Azam, SHO Pabbi Ishfaq Ahmad and others. The team was tasked to arrest wanted culprits and recovery of the looted amount and jewelry.
The police team accepted the task of the wanted culprits as a challenge and through adopting modern and traditional procedure of investigation got access to the mastermind of the dacoity incident, Shah Ali Akbar son of Said Akbar, resident of Shalozan Road, Para Parachinar.
The police also received a tip that the accused will make attempt to shift his share in the dacoity in garb of a commuter. The team arrested the accused from a passenger van.
During investigation, the mastermind revealed the name of their co-accused including Syed Riaz Hussain son of Syed Murtaza Hussain, Said Mohammad son of Said Akbar, Arif Hussain son of Nawaz Ali, Syed Dildar Hussain son of Syed Murtaza Hussain, Syed Nasir Hussain son of Syed Kamal Hussain, residents of Shalozan Road Parachinar.
