ASF recovers significant quantity of hashish from a passenger
KARACHI: The Airports Security Force (ASF) has recovered significant quantity of hashish from a passenger attempting to smuggle narcotics concealed in his footwear at Islamabad International Airport.
According to the details ASF personnel apprehended the passenger after noticing suspicious behaviour during routine security checks.
The individual, who was travelling from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi, was subjected to enhanced screening when his movements raised red flags among security officials.
During the inspection, ASF officers scanned the passenger’s shoes, which appeared suspicious. A subsequent manual search revealed 548 grams of hashish skillfully concealed within the shoe soles—a common smuggling technique used by traffickers to evade detection.
Following initial interrogation, the arrested passenger was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) along with the seized narcotics for further legal proceedings.
