KARACHI: The Sindh Governor, CM and cabinet members visited Quaid’s Mazar and paid rich tribute to the Father of the Nation.

Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, along with his Cabinet, visited the mausoleum of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, to pay high tribute to him on his 149th birth anniversary.

The Governor and the Chief Minister with his team, laid floral wreaths at Quaid’s Mazar and offered Fateha.

Special prayers were also offered for the security, progress and prosperity of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, the governor said that the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam reminds us commitment to national solidarity, sacrifices and fresh resolve to make every possible effort individually and collectively for the integrity, security and prosperity of the country.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with his statesmanship, got a separate Muslim country named Pakistan, where we all are living with freedom and dignity.

He emphasized that the entire nation, especially the political leadership, should firmly pursue the principles set by our Quaid for the integrity, development and prosperity of the country.

He said that the year 2025 has brought honour to Pakistan, which beat a five-times larger country, India. The credit went to Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Syed Asim Muneer, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.

He referred to US magazine’s recent report that after 10th May 2025, Pakistan has become the centre of world attention. And, in US foreign policy, Pakistan has been portrayed as the victorious and India as the loser country.

After a long time, he added, through its very professional defence and diplomatic strategies, Pakistan once again has won the world’s confidence and a prominent position.

“Today, the world acknowledges Pakistan’s successful defence and diplomatic strategies.”

He said that now the world is also supportive of the timely completion of the second phase of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

After many decades, Pakistan has taken its bold and clear stand on Afghanistan. The world accepts and supports Pakistan clear stance on terrorism, he said.

Now, Pakistan is taking difficult and important decisions for its economic take-off, which could not be taken over decades. Pakistan is increasing its engagement with the world, especially with the Muslim countries. It has signed many strategic agreements with major countries like China, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Libya. It is matter of pride to the nation that Pakistan’s arms and ammunition are on high demand in the world market.

“After Marka-e-Haq, the nation is prepared for Marqa-e-Maashiat. InshaAllah, we will win.”

The Governor regretted that certain political and religious elements were dragging the country into minor political issues and disrupting its advancement on economic, social and diplomatic fronts.

He showed his confidence that the nation would foil all such conspiracies and that they would get the benefits of the economic prosperity of the country, which has begun.

Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, on this occasion, pledged that he along with cabinet, would follow the principles and constitutionalism introduced by Quaid-e-Azam. He mentioned that prominent of these principles are: unity, faith and discipline.
