LAHORE: Amiruddin Medical College Principal Prof. Farooq Afzal directed the administration of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) to ensure the provision of uninterrupted medical facilities across all departments, including Emergency ward on the eve of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas holidays.

While issuing directions to the Medical Superintendent, AMS Admin, AMS Security and Nursing Superintendent, Prof. Farooq Afzal asserted the need to strictly monitor the attendance and performance of subordinate staff to prevent any lapses in service. He further stated that no employee, including the Duty Medical Officer (DMS), is allowed to leave their post without formally handing over their responsibilities to the next shift.

Prof. Farooq Afzal clarified that the timely treatment and convenience of patients remain the hospital’s primary mission and any form of negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
