ISLAMABAD: The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) has decided to close six offices, including regional offices at Mianwali, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Abbottabad.
Some of the Advisors Incharge at the Regional Offices have also been removed from their respective positions, including Mianwali and Sargodha.
The Advisor at Gujranwala would continue his work at Sialkot, and the positions of Hyderabad and Sukkur have also been abolished.
FTO receives record 35,716 complaints against FBR in 2025
In this regard, the FTO office has issued instructions to Advisors Incharge, Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat, and Regional Offices. According to a notification issued by the FTO office on Monday, it has been decided to close the FTO Secretariat Regional Offices at the six stations.
The Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat Regional Offices located at Mianwali, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Abbottabad have been closed.
In view of this, it is requested that the vacation notices be served upon owners of the respective office accommodations/buildings in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant lease agreements.
Accordingly, all outstanding liabilities of the offices may be cleared, and proper handling and taking over of all physical assets, as well as consumable and non-consumable items, will be ensured under intimation to this Secretariat.
