Activities of Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim

KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 299,212 tonnes of cargo comprising 235,942 tonnes of import cargo and 63,270 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours, ending at 0700 hours.

The total import cargo of 235,942 tonnes comprised of 101,766 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 43,403 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 5,005 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate, 568 tonnes of Chickpeas & 85,200 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.

The total export cargo of63,270 tonnes comprised of 30,17 tonnes of Containerized Cargo,244 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo,7,129 tonnes of Cement, 11,991 tonnes of Talc Powder & 13,735 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.

As many as, 12 ships namely, Mt Shalamar, Hong Yong Chang Sheng, Ren Jian 19, Hafnia Jaguar, Eleni T, One Marvel, Gfs Giselle, Cspc Leo, Oocl Nagoya, Royal Midori, Chem Barium & Gn Ruby berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.

Around, 10 ships namely, Uafl Liberty, Swan Lake, MscVilda X, Ocean Wealth, Christos K, Ren Jian 19, Hong Yong Chang Sheng, Eleni T, One Marvel & Josco Changzhou sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.

PORT QASIM

A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them an LNG carrier Al-Jassasiya left the port on Monday morning and an oil tanker Margarita is expected to sail on Monday afternoon.

A cargo volume of 108,968comprising 103,426tonnes imports cargo and 5,542tonnes export cargo was handled at the Port, during the last 24 hours.

There are 11 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them two ships, AN-16 and Mandarin Phoenix & three more ships, Eleni T, MSC Shanelle and Wakrah carrying Containers and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT and EETL respectively on Monday, 22th December 2025.
