JACCOBBABAD: The Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), eminent religious scholar, and renowned political leader Maulana Fazlur Rahman will undertake a four-day visit to Sindh from December 21.
JUI Sindh Quaid Allama Rashid Mehmood Soomro will accompany him throughout the visit.
According to JUI Sindh’s Press Secretary Dr. AG Ansari, Maulana Fazlur Rahman will participate in a historic and significant Khatm-e-Bukhari ceremony in Lyari, Karachi, on December 21, where a large number of scholars, elders, and citizens are expected to attend.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman will deliver a keynote address highlighting important religious matters.
On 23 December, the JUI Chief will attend a grand Khatm-e-Bukhari ceremony at Gulshan-e-Shaheed, Larkana, organized under the supervision of JUI Larkana Quaid Allama Nasir Mehmood Soomro. He will address the gathering on Islamic teachings and traditions.
On this occasion, scholars and Huffaz will be honored with traditional turban-tying ceremonies, adding to the spiritual significance of the event.
On 24 December, Maulana Fazlur Rahman will deliver an important keynote speech at a magnificent Tahaffuz-e-Madaris Conference” at Jamia Manzil Gah, Sukkur, organized under the supervision of JUI’s Central Nazim Mufti Saud Afzal Halejvi.
He will highlight the vital role of religious seminaries and emphasize the importance of preserving and strengthening the Madrasa system. A large number of scholars, religious leaders, and representatives of various Islamic organizations will participate.
JUI Sindh Allama Rashid Mehmood Soomro has issued instructions to ensure the success of the entire visit and is personally overseeing preparations for scholars and Huffaz will remain a special feature throughout the visit, aimed at promoting religious enthusiasm across Sindh.
Religious, social, and political Personalities have expressed that this visit will prove to be an important milestone for strengthening religious values, welfare activities, and the protection of Madaris in Sindh. They believe it will not only inspire unity among Pakistani Muslims but will also reinforce efforts for Muslim solidarity at the global level.
