Earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Chitral, Dir and other parts of the country on Friday.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded as 5.7 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan.
The department further said that the tremors occurred in the morning, originating from a depth of about 12 kilometers.
Fortunately, according to initial reports, no loss of life or significant property damage has been reported, Aaj News reported.
