KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 110,145 tonnes of cargo comprising 62,246 tonnes of import cargo and 47,899 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 62,246 tonnes comprised of 45,618 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,647 tonnes of Chickpeas & 14,981 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 47,899 tonnes comprised of 19,908 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 150 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 1,347 tonnes of Cement, 17,994 tonnes of Clinkers & 8,500 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 06 ships namely Wan Hai 316, Victory, Wan Hai 623, Msc New Haven, Swa Fortune, & Kmtc Nhava Sheva berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 06 ships namely, Rabigh Sunshine, Konrad, Astra, Hmm Oakland, Sky Blue, & Lila Ace sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘GFS Genesis’ left the port on Wednesday morning, while six more ships, Spirit of Bertram, CMA CGM Zanzibar, Bochem Bayard, Lapis Lazuli, BH Borga and SC Brilliant are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Cargo volume of 76,950 tonnes, comprising 71,731 tonnes imports cargo and5,219 export cargo carried in 1,522 Containers (1,215 TEUs Imports & 307 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 15 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them seven ships, ASL Ixora, BBC Fuji, TG Virgo, Bochem Bucephala, Al-Thakhira, CMA CGM Zanzibar and Spirit of Bertram & two more ships, Hansa Africa and Koi scheduled to load/offload Cement, Project Cargo, Palm oil, Chemicals, LNG and Container are expected to take berths at MW-1, MW-2, LCT, EVTL, EETL and QICT on Wednesday 17th December, 2025.
