KARACHI: Following the Prime Minister’s investment-focused visit to China in August 2025, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) hosted a high-level Chinese investor delegation at its Karachi headquarters on December 10. The delegation, led by Patrick Zheng, CEO of Sino-Pak Tech Industry (Pvt.) Ltd., explored significant investment opportunities in Pakistan’s mining, minerals, and recycling sectors.
The delegation was received by Azhar Ali Dahar, Director General (Engineering Division) of TDAP, for substantive discussions on advancing bilateral economic projects. The visiting team, which included Director Zhang Na and Chen Gengqing, also presented updates on recent Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed with Wah Nobel Pvt. Ltd. in Islamabad for joint ventures in the Chemical and Mining industries.
Asif Karim, Senior Manager representing the Sindh Investment Department (SID), provided a comprehensive briefing on the province’s investor-friendly landscape.
During the meeting, Zheng expressed his company’s strong interest in pursuing cooperation in the trade and mining of strategic resources, specifically Antimony, Lithium, and Mercury ores.
In the end, Secretary TDAP, Sheryar Taj has met with delegation with commitment to visiting investors that TDAP always available for all kind of facilitations.
