LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), as part of its administrative and legal reforms agenda, has decided to take immediate action against non-filers and businesses under-reporting their sales.
The decision was taken in the 130th meeting of the authority, chaired by Chairman PRA, Moazzam Iqbal Sipra.
To further strengthen transparency in tax collection, the sector-wise implementation of the Electronic Invoice Monitoring System (e-IMS) was also approved at the meeting. Further, it was decided that enforcement teams will wear uniforms on duty.
The meeting also included consultations on proposals for a new service structure for PRA officers and officials, while recommendations for amendments to the Sales Tax on Services Act were also reviewed.
