KARACHI: The Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers Pakistan (ABAD), Muhammad Hassan Bakshi, has lauded the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) recovery of Rs11.4 trillion over a period of two years and nine months, calling it a praiseworthy achievement.

Bakshi highlighted the return of Rs207 billion to victims of housing schemes, describing it as proof of transparent accountability. “The effective actions by NAB have made significant relief possible for housing scheme victims,” he said.

The ABAD chairman emphasized that the recovered funds returning to the national treasury would not only strengthen state institutions but also boost public confidence.

“Development in the country is only possible when honest individuals are facilitated and those involved in corruption face strict accountability,” Bakshi stated.

He further said that a transparent accountability process could promote the country’s economy and encourage investment. “We hope that NAB will maintain this pace and impartiality in the future as well,” he added.
