‘CM Rashan Card Programme’: Punjab govt to provide Rs4bn subsidy
LAHORE: The is learnt that the Punjab government has decided to provide a subsidy of Rs 4 billion for the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Rashan Card Programme.
The Punjab Social Welfare Department obtained data of 9498 citizens for the Maryam Nawaz Rashan Card Program, out of which applications of 3339 citizens will be scrutinised afresh, sources said, adding: “Data of poor families were obtained for the provision of the Rashan Card. Publication of the 6159 Rashan Card has already been completed.”
The sources added that the deserving families will purchase daily essential commodities through the Rashan Card. Prior to this Rashan Cards were distributed among the deserving families. The registration and attestation process of the programme is underway. This program will prove to be a major milestone in providing immediate relief to families facing economic stress, the sources added.
