LAHORE: In order to discuss bilateral cultural cooperation, literary exchange, and future collaborative initiatives, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Pakistan, Robert?Jan Siegert, paid a special visit to the Lahore Arts Council Alhamra, where he met with Executive Director Alhamra Mahboob Alam.
Deputy Director Admin Umair Hassan briefed the Ambassador on Alhamra’s performance, service delivery, and its expanding role as a leading cultural institution serving both Pakistan and the global community.
Executive Director Alhamra Mahboob Alam said that Alhamra continues to advance its rich cultural heritage in line with contemporary global standards, opening new pathways for Pakistan’s artistic identity to engage meaningfully with the world. He added that Alhamra is becoming increasingly prominent on the international stage, working with countries across the globe to share the beauty, depth, and diversity of Pakistani culture while warmly embracing the artistic traditions of partner nations.
The Ambassador visited Alhamra’s art halls and galleries, where he appreciated the institution’s multidimensional cultural work. During the visit, ED Alhamra presented the Ambassador with a commemorative souvenir. Renowned architect Nayyar Ali Dada was also present on the occasion.
