LAHORE: In connection with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a special cricket tournament was organized by the Pakistan Special Persons Cricket Association.

Punjab Minister for Sports Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar attended the event as the chief guest.

The Minister interacted with the players on the ground, encouraged them, and appreciated their passion and dedication. He also took part in a friendly match with the special players, an activity warmly received by both the players and the spectators.

On this occasion, the Minister announced that separate tournaments will be organized across Punjab for special athletes to provide them with enhanced opportunities to showcase their talents. He stated that special persons possess exceptional abilities and are a proud face of Pakistan. Ensuring their meaningful representation in sports is a top priority of the government, he said. He added that sports are a fundamental right of every citizen, and special athletes have consistently proven that they are second to none in any field.

Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further said that special persons are a positive, strong, and dignified brand of Pakistan. The Punjab government is committed to creating more sporting opportunities for special athletes, as their achievements continue to bring pride and recognition to Pakistan at the international level, he added.
