ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail held a key meeting on Wednesday, focusing on the province’s political situation, development priorities, and federal–provincial cooperation.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi and former Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani were also present during the meeting.

The participants discussed in detail the political and administrative landscape of Balochistan, with a special emphasis on development projects and public welfare initiatives underway in the province. Governor Mandokhail briefed the Speaker on the progress of ongoing schemes.

The delegation appreciated the efforts of security forces and law enforcement agencies for maintaining peace and improving the security environment in Balochistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said Balochistan holds a special place in his heart, adding that addressing the province’s challenges remains a top priority of the present government. He stressed that Pakistan’s overall progress is closely linked to the development of Balochistan.

The delegation praised the Speaker’s role in strengthening coordination between federal and provincial democratic institutions and lauded his effective conduct of National Assembly proceedings.

Both sides agreed to further enhance cooperation between the federation and the province.
