ISLAMABAD: A Senate Sub-Committee on Wednesday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to submit a computerised inventory and a ten-year auction record within a month, as it reviewed major gaps in maintenance data and endorsed a new Service Agreement Model to improve repair and management of Parliament Lodges.

A meeting of the sub-committee was held here under the convenership of Senator Nasir Mehmood. The meeting was attended by Senator Danesh Kumar, Senator Hidayatullah Khan, senior officials from the Ministry of Interior, CDA, and the Senate Secretariat.

The committee noted inconsistencies in the departmental submissions and instructed all concerned organisations to ensure uniform, consolidated, and standard reporting in future.

Officials briefed the committee on the proposed Service Agreement Model, which aims to speed up repair and maintenance work through predefined standards for civil, electrical, and furnishing tasks. It was informed that awarding block-wise contracts and establishing a dedicated Project Management Unit (PMU) would help improve monitoring, efficiency, and timely execution of tasks.
