Khayaban-e-Amin Housing Society: NAB distributes cheques worth Rs88m among affectees
LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau distributed cheques worth Rs88 million among affectees of Khayaban-e-Amin Housing Society. Out of total affectees of this society 80 percent affectees have been settled till date.
Sohail Nasir, Deputy Chairman NAB, Ahtisham Qadir Shah, Prosecutor General Accountability and Mirza Faran Baig, Director General NAB Lahore, convened NAB Lahore’s monthly Open Court Session, meeting directly with citizens to hear their grievances and expedite action on pending complaints.
A substantial number of complainants attended (nearly 450), many of whom were victims of fraudulent housing and real estate projects including Omega Residencia, Future Vision, Al-Noor Orchard, City Garden, Pak Arab, Khayaban-e-Amin, Sarmayadari, La Villa De Paris, Al Rehman Garden Phase-IV, Eden Housing, Unique Solar, Bismillah Garden Faisalabad, Al Jalil Garden, Lahore Capital City etc.
Mirza Faran Baig, DG NAB Lahore along with Deputy Chairman NAB and PGA engaged with the complainants, issuing immediate directives to address their concerns and ensure timely progress on their cases. They reaffirmed NAB’s commitment to protecting the rights of all affectees, emphasizing that no compromise would be made in providing justice.
During proceedings of Open Court, cheques worth Rs88 million (approx) were distributed by Deputy Chairman NAB, PGA and DG NAB Lahore, among affectees of Khayaban-e-Amin Housing Society. Out of total affectees of Khayaban-e-Amin Housing Society 80 percent affectees have been settled till date. Further, DG NAB Lahore ordered strict action for expediting rest of recovery and disbursement in all cases pertaining to cheating public at large.
Deputy Chairman NAB also called for comprehensive progress reports on all ongoing investigations related to important cases, with a specific focus on identifying the challenges faced by victims. The DG NAB Lahore stressed on the continued resolve to ensure timely return of recovered amounts and to uphold justice for all victims.
In the light of the vision of Chairman NAB, DG Mirza Faran Baig highlighted the Bureau’s zero-tolerance policy against individuals involved in defrauding the public. The participants expressed appreciation for the proactive measures taken by NAB Lahore under the leadership of DG Mirza Faran Baig. They termed Open Hearing Sessions as a valuable platform for direct engagement, transparency and swift redressal.
