LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that embracing innovation is key to competing globally, and the future of Pakistan is in the hands of the young generation.
He expressed these views while addressing the 27th convocation of Forman Christian College, here today. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of the college, Dr Jonathan S Addleton, a large number of faculty members, students and parents.
The governor maintained that FC College is a historical and prestigious institution, adding that its alumni have garnered acclaim and prestige for Pakistan on both national and international fronts. “Today’s world is changing rapidly, to keep pace with the world, we have to embrace innovation,” he said, adding: “Education’s true purpose extends beyond mere degree attainment, aiming to nurture individuals into better human beings.” The governor distributed medals among the students who showed outstanding performance.
