IT minister visits under-construction ASAN Khidmat Centre in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, visited the under-construction Pakistan ASAN Khidmat Centre in Sector G-9, Islamabad—an advanced citizen facilitation facility being developed with the support of Azerbaijan and aligned with the Prime Minister’s Digital Nation Vision.
The project is currently in its final phase of completion.
During the visit, the Federal Minister received a detailed briefing on the centre’s citizen-centric service delivery model, integrated public services, and technology-driven facilitation framework aimed at providing efficient, transparent, and accessible services to the public.
Shaza Fatima expressed satisfaction over the ongoing development work and directed that the project be completed at the earliest. She said the centre marks a significant milestone in strengthening direct engagement between the public and the government through modern, streamlined processes.
The Minister said the Pakistan ASAN Khidmat Centre will provide international-standard public services under one roof in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of a fully digital and citizen-focused government. She added that such facilitation centres will play a pivotal role in reinforcing Pakistan’s digital governance model and advancing nationwide digital reforms.
The project, she noted, lays the foundation for a new era of public service delivery, modern governance, and technology-enabled citizen facilitation.
