ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has enhanced the powers and jurisdiction of Director, Directorate of Customs Enforcement, Gadani to check any Customs cleared cargo within airport or dry-port areas of Balochistan.
The FBR has issued an SRO2191(I)/2025 on Thursday. According to the notification, Director, Directorate of Customs Enforcement, Gadani would deal with all matters of Customs relating to the Civil Division of Makran and civil districts of Khuzdar, Awaran Lasbella and Hub for carrying out anti-smuggling and all preventive functions in the Pakistan Customs Waters within the jurisdiction of Balochistan province.
Now the Director, Directorate of Customs Enforcement, Gadani to conduct information-based checking of Customs cleared cargo anywhere including blocking within airport or dry-port areas, FBR added.
