22 terrorists killed in Dera Ismail Khan operation: ISPR

Security forces killed 22 terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan district on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The operation targeted terrorists, linked to the Indian proxy group “Fitna al Khwarij,” the ISPR said, adding that Security forces engaged the terrorists in a fierce firefight, eliminating 22 of them.
A sanitisation operation is underway to locate and neutralise any remaining militants in the area.

The ISPR emphasised that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts, conducted under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
The operation marks the latest in a series of nationwide campaigns by Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies against terrorism and cross-border militancy.
The operation comes days after security forces killed 22 India-backed terrorists in an operation in Bannu District.
The ISPR said that the terrorists belonged to the Indian Proxy, Fitna al Khawarij.
