ISLAMABAD: JazzCash announced plans to launch JazzCash Bazar, a miniapp-powered marketplace developed in partnership with Huawei, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.

The platform, set for commercial launch by Q1 2026, will mark JazzCash’s expansion into digital commerce, transforming it from a digital payments provider into a full-scale commerce ecosystem and future-ready super app.

JazzCash Bazar aims to enable micro-entrepreneurs, small merchants, and home-based businesses to easily create digital storefronts and access customers nationwide.

Despite the presence of over five million micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pakistan, less than a quarter have adopted digital tools.

JazzCash Bazar will bridge this gap, offering instant storefront creation, integrated payments, and future services like buy-now-pay-later, digital lending, and insurance.

Built on Huawei’s miniapp technology, JazzCash Bazar will provide a seamless shopping experience, allowing customers to browse, order, and pay within the JazzCash app without switching platforms. This integration will provide a faster, more unified digital experience for both merchants and customers.

JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali said, “Through our partnership with Huawei, we’re creating a complete digital commerce ecosystem, expanding opportunities for millions of Pakistanis and bringing us closer to a cashless economy.”

The announcement was made at MWC Doha, with key representatives from JazzCash and Huawei in attendance. JazzCash continues to support Pakistan’s Cashless Economy initiative, processing over US$46.7 billion in transactions over the past year.
