ISLAMABAD: Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Ardeshir Larijani called on Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed AsimMunir Wednesday to discuss regional security and strengthen bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
According to ISPR, the high-level meeting centred on the region’s evolving security landscape and the shared need for deeper collaboration, particularly in counterterrorism and stability efforts.
Gen Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, stressing the importance of close coordination with Iran to confront emerging threats. He noted that enhanced strategic cooperation has become even more crucial given the shifting geopolitical environment.
Larijani appreciated Pakistan’s key role in promoting regional stability and expressed Iran’s resolve to advance bilateral ties.
