LAHORE: The Pakistan People's Party has track record of public service and will be fully participating in Punjab's upcoming local government elections.
"Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is poised to become the country's next Prime Minister," the Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said during a meeting with the office bearers and workers of the PPP Lahore Division here at the Governor House Lahore today.
The governor said that the PPP is succeeding in regaining its popularity across the province. He said that the PPP will participate fully in the local government elections to be held in Punjab.
He further said that as per the instructions of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP will field its strong candidates in the local government elections. He also directed the PPP office bearers to make full preparations for the PPP Foundation Day. He expressed the hope that the office bearers, workers and activists of the PPP will make the Foundation Day on November 30 a memorable one.
The governor directed all the workers to end their differences and further strengthen the party. He said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will soon come to Lahore and meet the office bearers and workers.
The governor said that the PPP is committed to address the problems of people especially the under privileged class. He said the Governor House has been converted into a people's Governor House. He said that the Governor House has become above politics and has been opened for all political parties.
