Interior minister, Qatari counterpart discuss cooperation on issues of mutual interest

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of Interior of Qatar Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani held a discussion on a range of issues of mutual interest, including regional and bilateral affairs, in Doha, Qatar.
In a post on his social media accounts, Naqvi said he had a productive meeting with his Qatari counterpart.
“We held an excellent discussion on regional and bilateral matters, including enhanced cooperation between our law enforcement agencies, joint efforts to curb drug trafficking, strengthened coastal guard coordination, and several other areas of mutual interest,” he said.
The interior minister said also thanked Qatari Minister Al-Nuaimi for his commitment for helping in establishing a state of the art firing range for the National Police Academy in Islamabad.

“We look forward to welcoming him to Pakistan very soon,” he added.
Naqvi, who is also Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, is currently in Qatar, where he attended ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 as well a day ago.
