KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that under the Sindh government’s focused and active policy, 756 development schemes are underway in Karachi to strengthen and modernize the city’s infrastructure.

In a statement, he said that 76 schemes of the Karachi Development Authority are in progress at a cost of Rs 13 billion, while Rs 18.36 billion are being spent on 200 schemes of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.

He said the government is using all available resources to make the city modern, safe and better equipped with facilities, and the pace of development has increased with the cooperation of the public. The provincial government is working quickly on key projects so the city’s infrastructure can meet contemporary needs.

Sharjeel said that the completion of these projects will provide major relief to citizens, and despite challenges, efforts are being made to finish all work within the set timeline.
