KARACHI: Gold prices - locally and globally saw a sizeable rise on Saturday, as international market again passed over USD4,050 per ounce, traders said.
Tracking the global momentum, local market drove gold prices up by Rs2,300 to Rs428,862 per tola and Rs1,972 to Rs367,680 per 10 grams, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
International market regained a significant value, pushing gold bullion up USD23 to USD4,065 per ounce with silver rising by less than a dollar to stand firm at USD50 per ounce, it added.
Domestic silver prices grew by Rs48 and Rs41 to settle at Rs5,270 per tola and Rs4,518 per 10 grams respectively, the association cited.
Prices of gold and silver in the open market may shuffle and un-match those officially fixed by the jewellers association.
